Andrew + Robyn
All weddings are unique, but Andrew and Robyn’s sticks in the memory for being really fun and informal; it was so chilled out it felt like the best organised house party you’ve ever been to!
My day began with the girls as they got ready – the vibe was pure fun and I certainly didn’t have to worry about them relaxing in my presence! The wedding ceremony was outside at Kilminorth Cottages Near Looe. This is a great new venue for weddings in Cornwall featuring beautifully landscaped gardens, amazing views, an orchard, meadows, woods and a valley which runs down to the coast. Andrew + Robyn’s guests sat on hay bales and the ceremony featured a male voice choir – Cornish folk songs rang out far and wide! After the ceremony I got some shots in the grounds before heading to the beach at Plaidy with Andrew + Robyn. The area is particularly special to Robyn as it’s where she grew up, and I know they will really value these pictures of the two of them on the beach for years to come.
The reception was held at Robyn’s parents’ house in Plaidy overlooking the coast. There was a handmade feel to everything here – the decorations and all the small touches were nicely done, and having it in the family home gave the wedding a very personal feel. Luckily, after a bit of a misty start, the sun came out and everyone made the most of the beautiful day. The speeches were hilarious and everyone got into the spirit; I enjoyed being one of the family for the day and left the happy couple in the midst of a raucous wedding party which I’m sure went on to the early hours!
