This was my first wedding of 2012 and what a way to start the year! There is so much that I would love to write about this wedding but I would be hear all day so I will try and keep it short and sweet.

Libby and Steve's theme for their wedding was 'posh frocks and wellies'! Amazing! Definitly a sensible idea if you are planning a coastal wedding in Cornwall at the beginning of January! All the guests (and photogtapher!) were asked to wear wellies to the ceremony and be as creative or silly as you want them to be! I managed to bag myself some white dunlops from Macsalvors the week before! A few funny looks from the locals but it went down well with the wedding party! I will try and upload some pics soon! The wedding iteslef was held at the Yew Tree Gallery just outside Morvah in West Cornwall, a beautiful and very remote part of Cornwall. Libby and Steve are very fond of this area and spend alot of time walking/running/clibing along this part of the coast. After the ceremony and a few glasses of champagne the newly weds and all of the guests made their way along the coast road towards the reception venue - The Gurnards Head Pub! This is one of the coolest pubs in Cornwall! In the middel of knowwhere with epic Cornish coastline all around! Just befofe they arrived at the Gurnards they stopped off for a short coastal walk at Bosigrin mine. Fair play to Libby and Steve for organising this one, I haven't been to many weddings where you get the entire wedding party to climb up a very large muddy hill in all their nice wear in the middle of winter! This made for some spectatular views and really lovely candid shots of the party. There was no need to persuade Libby and Steve to climb up the stack of rocks at the top... they were straight up there!! :)

Anyway, I was supposed to keep this short, oops. Just a couple of other things to point out:

- The wedding rings - as you may have guessed, they both love the outdoors, Steve proposed on the side of a mountain in Switzerland (i think) and instead of a conventional engegament ring he used a rock climbers hook! see the best man shots with the rings.

- The cake - The Eiger I think!? Libby works for Rowes bakery - awesome!

- The best man photo - air guitar on a very high rock in Cornwall - love it!

Needless to say the party continued at the Gurnards until late. There was some an awesome line up of music including local bands Kola and Greydog! Really cool to see those guys there!

A 13 and a half hour day door to door.......loved every minute of it!

I hope you enjoy x

Here are a few snaps from Andrew and Linda's winter wedding at St Mawes Castle. A very wet and windy day made for a warm, cosy ceremony inside a candle lit St Mawes Castle.

After the ceremony we snuck out for a few photos inbetween the rain then headed down the road to the Idle Rocks Hotel in St Mawes for a beautifully laid out wedding breakfast by the fire.

Big congrats to the newly weds, I wish them all the best for their future together.

Thanks for looking x

Here are a selection of my fav shots taken at Sam and Matt's blessing at the church of St Peter the Apostle, Treverbyn. Sam and Matt tied the knot a week or two prior to this in beautiful Mauritius. Unfortunately I wasn't asked to cover this part of the wedding :( but if you are reading this and planning to get married abroad, yes  I am available to travel! (well.....worth a pop!). The photogrphs from their wedding in Maurtius looked amazing and they both returned bronzed up and ready to celebrate with their friends and family!

The day of the blessing itself was without a doubt the hottest day of the year! amazing! (who needs sunny Maurtius anyway!). After a beautiful ceremony in Treverbyn the couple and their guests travelled down to the Falmouth Hotel to continue with their celebrations!

We managed to grab a few shots of the newly weds on the beach along from Gyllyanvase which was just stunning! You can't beat a sunny day in Cornwall!

I wish them both all the best! A lovely lovely couple to work with!

Thanks for looking x

The National Maritime Musuem in Falmouth provided a perfect setting for Sarah and Adam's nautical themed wedding.

Both very keen rowers, they met whilst at University in Bournemouth.

Sarah is from Cornwall and Adam is from Sweden so needless to say there was plenty of Cornish pasties and Swedish meatballs to go round during the festivities! love it!

After the ceremony the couple and all of their guests took a scenic river boat cruise up the River Fal. Although the wind was up the sun still shone and the cruise made for some cracking candid photos (and a few Titanic inspired ones!) :)

The evening party continued in full swing back at the Martime Museum.

A really beautiful wedding! lovely lovely people!
