Jen + Graham’s Wedding in St Agnes
Jen + Graham had a particularly colourful and fun wedding day, combining a traditional ceremony with a good old fashioned shin-dig by the sea. Jen + Graham, who both live in Australia, travelled back to Jen’s home county of Cornwall for this fantastic wedding celebration. The ceremony took place at Truro Methodist Cathedral, which was packed with family and friends from all over the world. A very memorable moment occurred when confetti fell from the high ceiling of the church, showering the couple just as they were pronounced man and wife – a really cool touch which produced a fantastic spontaneous photo opportunity as you can imagine! Lots more confetti was thrown as the couple left the church and departed in a VW Campervan – appropriately decked out for the occasion of course.
Jen + Graham, accompanied by their bridal party, departed for St Agnes Head where I took the opportunity to capture some natural group shots and also some in fun poses, making use of the great props on hand – including those purple wellies! Jen + Graham also managed to steal some quiet moments by themselves and I was able to take photos from afar, capturing the great views and amazing coastal light!
It turned out to be the only quiet moment of the day! Back at Newdowns Farm the huge Absolute Canvas marquee was overflowing with well-wishers and soon the drinks began to flow and the wedding breakfast began. The purple wedding theme continued throughout, including in the stunning flowers supplied by the awesome Anna Sawle from Wedding Flowers in Cornwall; the marquee really did look amazing. As the evening wore on the guests began to strut their stuff on the dance floor and a party atmosphere prevailed, led by a very cool funk band.
It was topped off by an amazing firework display provided by some professional friends of Jen and Graham; the perfect way to sign off on this fun-filled wedding day!
