Danny & Lucy’s Wedding at Lusty Glaze

I was super chuffed when Danny & Lucy asked me to be their Lusty Glaze wedding photographer. Lusty Glaze weddings are always the best and this one will take some beating I tell you! I know Danny through mutual friends and have now got to know both himself and Lucy even more at other weddings I have worked at in Cornwall over the past few years. If there was an award for the ‘most weddings invited to as a guest’ I’m pretty sure Danny & Lucy would win it hands down! They probably go to more weddings than I do and being a full time wedding photographer in Cornwall, this is my job!

It’s clear that Danny & Lucy have an amazing set of friends and are super popular and I am not surprised one bit, they are the nicest, funniest and most loving couple you will meet, so I was over the moon when they booked me to take care of their Lusty Glaze wedding photography. Danny & Lucy’s entire wedding day took place at the awesome Lusty Glaze beach, a venue I know really well and right up their street in my opinion! Super chilled, laid back and good vibes all day.

I love photographing weddings like this at Lusty Glaze beach. There were many awesome moments from their wedding day but the standout moment was during Danny’s speech he surprised Lucy with a wedding gift of all wedding gifts! A puppy! This was a total surprise to not only Lucy but everyone all the wedding guests there! I have never heard quite a reaction during a grooms speech before! So, so good Danny! The three best men were stumped following that! The day was full of fun, games, laughter, beach BBQ, an awesome party and an incredible sunset to finish! Did I mention the puppy? 🙂

Can you tell me about the proposal?

This was actually romantic! When we were travelling in South America I hid a scrap book about us in my suitcase and waited for the best moment to propose. We hired out an awesome apartment, that overlooked lake Titicaca, and I waited till sunset. I’d been in the town in the day and bought a 6 dollar ring (which was lush and green) so I was ready. I walked over to Lucy and said I have a present for you to which she replied “what is it, your penis?” and then we laughed, cried and got engaged!

Can you tell me about your venues and why you chose them?

We wanted to get married on the beach and Lusty Glaze is amazing so it had to there.

Were you going for a certain style or theme for your wedding?

We went for a laid back, beachy wedding.

What is the most memorable moment from the day?

The whole day was amazing but the best bit was probably when I pulled out a surprise puppy out of a box in my speech!

Why did you choose Stewart Girvan Photography?

We choose Stewart because he’s a legend and his pictures are amazing!

How did you feel about having your photos taken and were pleased with your final images?

They were perfect!

Can you tell me about any other suppliers that contributed and played an important part to your wedding? For example, florist, makeup artist, transport, entertainment

The following list of suppliers and people were brilliant we would highly recommend them … Zennor wild (for flowers), Morrell music (the best DJ ever), the people that carried our Grannies down the stairs (can’t remember your name sorry) and Fian for driving!
