Kirstie & Rich's Wedding Day
If you’re planning a wedding at Clevedon Hall in North Somerset, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
This was a beautiful summer wedding with an amazing couple in an incredible setting. I absolutely loved meeting and getting to know Kirstie and Rich and being their wedding photographer at Clevedon Hall.
Clevedon Hall is a privately owned house (or should I say mansion!) in North Somerset that hosts weddings and events within its walls and stunning grounds. This was my first wedding I have photographed at Clevedon Hall and I look forward to returning there again soon!
As a wedding photographer from Cornwall, I made the journey up to Somerset the day before the wedding just to get make sure I was good and ready to go first thing for Kirstie and Rich. It’s only a 2-3 hour drive but I like to be super organised and ready for the day and it was also a great excuse to see a little bit of Clevedon too! The sunset over the Pier the evening before the wedding was well worth the trip!
GETTING READY
Kirstie and the girls all stayed at ‘The Cottage’ in the grounds of Clevedon Hall the night before the wedding day so they were all in good spirits when I arrived to begin photographing. Unfortunately for Kirstie she was a little ill a few days before the wedding and although she was feeling better, she had lost her voice! The poor thing! This totally didn’t effect her enjoying the day though!
The girls and then later the boys all got ready separately in the stunning rooms at Clevedon Hall itself. If you book to get married at Clevedon Hall, you get complete exclusivity of the venue, including all of the amazing accommodation! This made my job super easy to float between both sides getting ready and capturing some of the morning preparations. One for my favourite moments from the morning was Kirstie’s Dad seeing her in her wedding dress for first time!
THE WEDDING CEREMONY
The ceremony took place inside very elegant Orangery room with large windows and a beautiful chandelier. With white washed walls the natural light in here was amazing! The ceremony was stunning and full of lots of lovely moments.
THE RECEPTION
After the ceremony, drinks and canopies took place outside the Hall in the stunning gardens. Kirstie and Rich to keen to get a few portraits in the grounds and there wasn’t a shortage of backgrounds I can tell you! I don’t like to take a couple away for a party for very long so we just went for a little stroll and took a few relaxed portraits for 10 mins or so. The wedding breakfast and speeches followed in the Library and the it was time to party!
THE PARTY
Kirstie and Rich were definitely up for a party and their live band had everyone up on the dance floor all night! As I was staying the night close by in Clevedon I stayed right until the end and captured as many fun moments as I could for them!
I absolutely loved getting to know Kirstie and Rich and feel very privileged to have been their wedding photographer at Clevedon Hall. Thanks again for having me guys and I wish you both all the best!!
