I had the privilege of being the Nancarrow Farm wedding photographer for Lucy & Todd earlier this spring on a beautiful still sunny day. Lucy is a writer and Todd is a chef, both very creative and loving people and this showed in the many little parts that made up their day.
They wanted a relaxed, laid back enjoyable day for all of their family and made sure they concentrated on the things that meant the most to them. When it came to choosing their wedding suppliers, Lucy and Todd kept it local and tried to choose as many suppliers close to home so they could meet and enjoy many of the small local businesses on their doorstep.
Lucy and Todd both got ready on the farm which made it very easy for me to jump between and document each side’s preparations in the morning. There are often so many lovely fleeting moments that happen on the morning of a wedding day from the getting ready to the anticipation and excitement of the day ahead. I love photographing this build up, and clients often comment afterwards how many little moments pass so fast they often forget until they see their wedding photographs. Lucy and Todd’s morning was full of these moments, from the delivery of Lucy’s beautiful flowers from Mari at Rosewortha Farm, the children running around and playing to Todd welcoming all of their close friends and family.
The wedding ceremony itself took place inside the main barn at Nancarrow and drinks and canapes were served outside in the farm afterwards.
This wedding was so lovely to be part off from start to finish. The guests, the venue, the suppliers, everyone got involved and it felt like one big family for the day. As always I will let the photos tell the story so sit back, turn the music up and enjoy a few highlights from Lucy and Todd’s day.
The day went without a hitch and the sun shone down on the proceedings all day long. It was a real privilege to be part of this wedding as a photographer, but also as a guest. Later on in the evening we all enjoyed ourselves with lots of fun, many drinks. Quite a bit of dancing was had! Good times.
The Wedding & Reception Venue – Nancarrow Farm
I know I have written about this one before in previous blogs but this really is one of my favourite wedding venues in Cornwall. Not only is this an amazing setting, the people that work here awesome and the food really is next level. Every time I get booked to cover a wedding here I know the couple is going to be down earth and easy going and awesome fun to work with as that is the client this venue attracts. Can’t wait to work here again soon.
