I was super excited to be booked for Oksana & Chris’s Pentillie Castle wedding photography, it’s a wedding venue that I have always wanted to work at and what an incredible day it turned out to be! Pentillie Castle is a beautiful, privately owned Castle on a picturesque 2000 acre Estate situated above the River Tamar in Cornwall.
With every wedding I photograph I always like to arrange a meet-up (or Skype) with my wedding couple ahead of their day. Sometimes, if it’s a venue I haven’t been to before its always nice to meet my couple there and walk through their wedding day. Pentillie Castle were super accommodating and let us meet at the venue a few weeks before the big day. This was also my first in person meeting with Oksana and Chris as they live in Sheffield and it was so nice to finally put faces to their names! Chris’s family are based in Plymouth so they often visit the area and it’s very special to them both. They were so lovely and showed me around the entire venue and walked through their Pentillie Castle wedding photography plans.
The entire wedding day took place at the venue and all of the Oksana and Chris’s immediate family and bridal party stayed at the venue the night before so they were all relaxed and ready on the day!
The whole wedding party were just a joy to be around, in the morning I floated between Oksana’s bridal prep with the girls in the bridal suite and Chris and the boys at their room at the other end of the very long hallway! What an amazing impressive venue this was! The ceremony took place in the main drawing room and the reception was in a marquee attached to the site of the castle.
